Fishing Absecon Inlet
The main ocean inlet at Atlantic City. A wide, deep, high traffic inlet with serious tidal rips and one of the better big striper inlets on the central Jersey Shore during spring and fall migrations. Bluefish are consistent through summer. The jetties on both sides provide surf and rock access to the rip. Bunker schools stack in the mouth of this inlet in October and the bass fishing during those pushes can be exceptional. Heavy bucktails and large swimmers worked through the current seam are the standard approach.
