Fishing Barnegat Inlet

One of the most famous striper inlets on the entire East Coast. The north jetty at Barnegat is legendary for big fall stripers from late October through December and the rip formed by the current pouring through the inlet creates world class striper fishing that draws anglers from across the region. Large plugs, bunker chunk, and heavy bucktails are the standard approach. In spring the inlet is equally productive as the migration moves north. The inlet entrance is one of the most powerful and dangerous on the coast and boat anglers need to respect the conditions here.
